This Privacy Policy describes how Rubio Board Review ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit rubioboardreview.com (the "Site") or purchase one of our exam-prep products. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Who we are

Rubio Board Review is operated by Arian Suarez, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC and Chantal Rubio, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC. We provide self-paced study materials for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam and the AANP / ANCC Family Nurse Practitioner certification exams. We are not a school, hospital, or healthcare provider, and our materials are intended for educational use only.

2. What information we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Email address when you sign up for our newsletter or create a study account.
  • Payment information when you purchase a product. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Access codes and account activity when you redeem a code and use our study app.
  • Messages you send us at arian102064@gmail.com or through any form on the Site.

Information we collect automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
  • Pages you visit on the Site, and how you arrived
  • Referring URLs, search terms, and approximate location based on IP
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Cookies and tracking)

3. How we use your information

We use information to:

  • Deliver the products you purchase and provide access to study materials
  • Send you the email newsletter you signed up for, and respond to your messages
  • Process payments and provide refunds within our refund policy
  • Understand how the Site is used so we can improve it
  • Measure the performance of our ads on Google, TikTok, and other platforms
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Third-party services we use

We rely on a small number of trusted third parties to operate the Site. Each has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review.

  • Netlify โ€” hosts the Site and our newsletter form submissions. netlify.com/privacy
  • Google โ€” runs our advertising and conversion tracking via Google Ads (gtag.js). policies.google.com/privacy
  • TikTok โ€” runs our advertising and conversion tracking via the TikTok Pixel. tiktok.com privacy policy

5. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to recognize returning visitors, remember preferences, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. The specific technologies in use include:

  • First-party cookies from our Site for session management and remembering your preferences.
  • Google Ads tag (AW-18025756712) for conversion tracking and remarketing.
  • TikTok Pixel for conversion tracking and ad optimization.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com, the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out, and through your TikTok ad settings.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Site:

  • With the third-party service providers listed above, who process information on our behalf
  • If required by law, subpoena, or other legal process
  • To protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of our users or the public
  • In connection with a business transaction (e.g., merger, acquisition, sale of assets), in which case successors will be bound by this Policy

7. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as you have an active access code and a reasonable period afterward to support customer service, accounting, and dispute resolution. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, after which we remove the address from our active sending list within 7 days. Payment records are retained as required by tax and accounting law, typically 7 years.

8. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to access โ€” request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Right to correction โ€” ask us to fix inaccurate information
  • Right to deletion โ€” ask us to delete your personal information (subject to legal retention obligations)
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing โ€” we do not sell personal information, but you can opt out of advertising-related sharing
  • Right to data portability โ€” receive your information in a portable format
  • Right to non-discrimination โ€” we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights

California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to request information about what categories of personal information we collect, to delete that information, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your data. To opt out of advertising-related sharing, you can disable cookies as described in the Cookies section above or contact us directly.

9. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults 18 years of age and older who are pursuing nursing education and licensure. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), restricted access to administrative systems, and use of trusted third-party processors. No system is perfectly secure, however. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the Site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised Policy.
